I get what this song means and I like it--love it even. I love the music. I love the song. But the lyrics--at some points--they just carve right into me. My boyfriend and I had known each other since 2004 but hadn't seen each other since 2005. In 2018, we reconnected, started dating, moved in together. In 2019, I was diagnosed with cancer. He took care of me through all of it, chemo, sickness and all...and that line..."You got to me in time..." it just hits me in the heart so damned hard. I'm so lucky that he found a way for me to find him.
