I've noticed this with my 3 y.o. nephew. Sometimes I find myself projecting sadness onto him and it isn't really an emotion he's even experiencing. It's very comforting to know that God wants to heal the brokenhearted 💛

My sister bullied me so badly I locked myself in my room most of the time. Still to this day I hide in my room to feel safe. She even put herself as the victim and said I was like Elsa from frozen. I rejected her by avoiding abuse. My parents even ignored her swearing at me as an adult. They cared more of our image and ignored what was going on.

I have a son, and another child on the way. I’ve been filled with fear. I feel like I’m just scared to connect with my son, because of my childhood trauma that is screaming at me. I’m afraid I won’t be able to function as a mother, because of my childhood trauma, that I'm still working through.
