The Mk XII was the first production version of the Spitfire to use the Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. The Griffon was a devlopment of the 'R' sprint engine used in the Supermarine Schneider Trophy racing seaplanes of the late 1920s and early 1930s.

🤣😂😅 How weird !!! I have just started this 1/48 Spitfire about 2hrs ago as a tester for my first time using a airbrush kit🥴 and the 1st model I have built in over 10yrs.

Airfix I love your new kits and applaud you bringing us and the world some true classic British aircraft..I’m very excited about the 1/48 Buccaneer coming soon..But my main point to this is my and many others wish to see a true post war navy classic aircraft in 1/48 which is a Fairey Gannet..This aircraft is overlooked wrongly as it was unique in its appearance and great in its role with the Royal Navy and other navies.. I’m sure a 1/48 fairey Gannet would be a winner.!…
