I’m listening to this imagining a story playing out:
Deja Vu is the ex- girlfriend, bitter that her guy is just reusing all of their special moments with another girl like nothing ever happened. As It Was is the guy secretly lamenting that nothing is the same anymore, that despite everything he doesn’t feel like his relationship with his new girl will ever live up to the one he had with Deja Vu girl. It creates this contrast where the characters are feeling so much that they can’t communicate with each other. Meanwhile Cruel Summer is the new girlfriend he met in summertime who is getting caught up in the thrill of her new relationship, but still feels they have something to hide

The crazy thing is how they all match and tell the side of a story;
Harry: the boy who broke up with the girl, (Olivias pov) and regrets it all. He feels like it will never be the same "as it was" and regrets dumping her

Olivia: the girl who got dumped. As time goes on, so does her lover for him, she realizes she doesn't need him and she's her own person. She giggles at the fact The boy gets deja vu. And knows hell never be as happy as he was with her


Taylor pov: the girl he left Olivia for. She slowly starts realizing why in the beginning of the relationship every thing was sneaky, it's because he was with Olivia at the time. She realizes that she was just a side thing, who's summer was ruined. :)
