Nissan – Motion-Activated Liftgate

Some vehicles are equipped with a motion-activated liftgate. To use the motion-activated liftgate, be sure your key fob is within approximately three feet of the liftgate. With your leg near the center of the rear bumper, quickly swing your foot forward. Your foot should come within at least four inches of the rear bumper but should not make physical contact.

You do not need to hold your foot under the bumper or move it side to side. Immediately return your foot to the ground. Within two seconds, three beeps will sound and the liftgate will begin to open or close.
