As far as I am concerned, SONY is knocking it out of the park. I love their approach to the cell phone market. They build top-quality products, elegant, lightly understated, and authentic designs.

I've had this phone for about a month and find it brilliant, well made, easy to handle and photos are great.

Good battery life, solid build, half decent camera, not very big and minimal bells and whistles is exactly what I want in a phone. Looks like this could fit the bill and I keep my phones for 3 years minimum

I really think that 10 III is fine for the price. Other reviewer just want to see flagship grade performance in a midrange. And, I'm sorry about 1 III. hope you'd get the replacement soon.

Really useful review thanks! Was toying between this and 5ii. Reddit and other places turn up their nose at 10iii when vs 5ii but I think there's too much assumption everyone wants latest and greatest, best CPU/GPU etc. But not everyone games on their phones or uses it 99% of their awake lives.
Your review here has made my mind up. This is a good phone. Gonna get it!

Does it have some cons? Sure, it's £400 mid range phone, but given the great features it's a good price.

Great review! Hope sony can make a much smaller phone like a mid range compact. Maybe a 5.5" to 5.8" 21:9. I don't game on my phone so a budget efficient SOC like the SD690 5G will do plus 4, 500 mah battery. I miss the sony compact phones.

Moving on, how many updates did you have since over a month ago? Have you noticed any noticeable improvements in the front & rear cameras, audio, screen brightness, audio, general performance, wifi/5G speeds and battery life?

I have a 10ii and wanted to upgrade to the 10iii but went for the 5ii because we wouldn't get the blue version and would have to wait a couple of months longer.

People who wouldn't buy it anyway are complaining without even having touched the device.
I haven't used this device yet but i need can only imagine it's even faster than the 10ii which was much faster in the day to day than allot of devices with more powerful hardware.

This device excels in multi media and social media.
For gaming there are better phones around.

Improvements I'd like to see on a 10iv would be stereo speakers, higher brightness (around 700nits max and 600nits with slider) and better camera system (preferably something as good as the 5ii)

OUCH I definitely felt that! That's why I always use a case even though it hides the beauty of Xperia.. Btw my 1 ii should arrive this Monday!

That's a $1100+ phone. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't at least put a case and screen protector on it. Despite how flimsy some of them look, they can actually protect your phone. I've dropped my XZ premium on concrete twice now(from waist and chest level heights) and my screen has been perfectly fine, though there is some chipping at the corners of the device. Also, I'm waiting for my 10 III to show up in the mail. The battery life improvements compared to my previous model's camera are enough for me to upgrade.
