HOW TO GROW/PROPAGATE CROWN OF THORNS/EUPHORBIA MILII FROM CUTTINGS AT HOME -FAST N SIMPLE METHOD

DAIZZ'S TIP-
Put on your gloves and take a 5 to 6 inch cutting from the tip of a stem that has leaves on it. Leafless stems won't root. Remove all but the top one or two leaves from the cutting.

Dip the cut end of the stem in hot water to stop the flow of sap. Spray the cut stem on the mother plant with water.

let it form callous for 2-3 days/let it dry for 2-3 days

Fill a small pot with potting mix . Make a hole 2 inches deep in the center of the medium with a pencil.

Put the cut end of the cutting in the hole to a depth of 2 inches. Firm the medium around the cutting so that it stands up straight.

Moisten the soil with water and discard any excess water that collects in the saucer under the pot.

Place the potted cutting in a location with bright but indirect sunlight.

Add water to the pot when the top 2 inches of the soil is dry.

Repot the cutting into a larger pot using a potting soil designed for cacti and succulents after it roots. When the cutting roots it will begin to grow, and you will feel resistance when you give the stem a gentle upward tug.

Thank you for the simple but detail information. I put my cutting directly into the soil and have discovered that my plant has rotted as you said it would. Wish I'd check youtube earlier. I will trim it again and follow your directions. Much appreciated! From Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Wow, I loved your video. I have a Christ Thorn that is older than 20. I changed the soil and gave it a bigger pot for more room to grow - buuut, it rotted bc I used too much compost and not enough drainage soil. (I thought I knew better than that.) Anyway, I'm trying to salvage it. I feel about my plants like you do for your bird. I hope he visits you. And I hope my Christ Thorn comes back to life as Jesus did. Thanks for making this! A pleasure to watch. Marissa, Toronto

I really enjoyed your video. Your cuttings turned out beautifully. You nursed that lovely bird back to good health. I feel that he didn’t really want to leave you. You called the birdie ‘Beta’, that was sweet. I think that he may return to see you. That would be absolutely wonderful.

But how reacts the pruned branch from which the offshoot is pulled? Does this branch grows and blooms?
