You two have the best laughs! I loved it when Jordan asked for a kiss in response to Kaylee's pepper on her face! Thanks for being who you are, learning and growing and sharing...you always give so much! I wish I could be there helping you!

Good morning all =.. Buy a shipping container.. They are cheap and super secure. You will always be a target of theft anywhere, Imagine when you travel. When we build its the first structure on site. If you buy a container lock its hard to cut off. you need torches to break into one and they keep critters and bugs out, They are also heavy enough the wind will not budge them. With the flat roof they work really well as a base for your solar panels and CC controller power building. Just resist the idea of adding any windows or extra doors. People als have at or cottage and leave boat motors 4 wheelers in them and its the only defence. Ive seen signs of atempted break ins they always give up. .. Further think Guest Room or in Special K's case panic room :)

It was only a matter of time! The people that walk or use that road know your Ex-Pats and have no fear of stealing from you. If I was a betting man; the stolen tools are not that far away

Awesome video guys, built a porch outside the bus so you could see the sunrise and sunset and drinking your favorite coffee.

I would suggest, along with shipping container for storage a Ring camera, it records, you can view from almost anywhere, it's battery operated and you can add a solar panel so you never have to charge it.
Love your channel, stay safe.

I lived in Panama 5 years get used to it. The only way to prevent theft is to have someone guarding it 24/7. Once the realize what you have in the bus it will all be gone.

I used to have a drain like that from my kitchen sink. Frogs. In the silverware drawer. Get ready for that. In fact there's more snakes where you live. Put a stainless steel mesh cover at the bottom.

Get a shipping container. Cheap. And super secure. You can build a lean to roof on the one side and know you will have a safe and secured space for all your material and tools. They come in 20 foot and 40+ feet. Build footing 6 of them. To support a 20 foot trailer. You need to set up your shop and power source. This will help you with all your projects in the future.

You need to build a secure building on the property. A ten by ten foot concrete pad. Steel reinforced cinder block walls steel security door. And a concrete roof.

I've been following you guys since you started your journey into Mexico. I very much enjoy your videos and I'm more excited to see your homestead grow rather then had you continued to travel. I appreciate your ability to show the highs and lows of your journey while keeping your amazing positive/optimistic attitudes. Never lose that. Keep up the amazing work on both the homestead and the videos. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us who can live vicariously through you. ;-)

Hola Jordan & Kaylee ! Great to see you back in the van. Looks nice and like the peaceful Teal exterior color. Want to say that I like the idea that Bryon Bertrim gave to Buy a Shipping Container and a container lock its hard to cut off. Also install some motion detectors and / or cameras for surveillance. Yes it is absolutely Gorgeous there, just Breath Taking. So add a little security and get a little peace of mind. Better to be protected. I say just "Do it" Be secure, then you can pull out two chairs, sit back and relax and watch that beautiful view of the sunset. God Bless You Both and Lola for Protection, Happiness, Peace & LOVE!! ~~ DD

You need to buy a shed to store all your tools. You will be accumulating more and more tools as you go and they take up a lot of space. Build one bigger than you think you will need. You will be amazed how quickly it fills up. Happy Bus Living!

My first camper van was a minivan. I had a kitchen with a sink, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a slow cooker. I had a bathroom with a camper shower. I had a monitor that I connected my phone to, to watch tv. A single size bed. Under the bed was my closet. And the back of my van was my electronics bay.
I had one 255 watt solar panel, 3 155watt gel cell batteries that powered every thing. It took me 1 year to design it and build it.
I lived in my minivan for 2 years. Then I bought a full size van. Moved everything from the minivan to the full size van. Lived 2 years in the full size van. Then started to rent a house while I was supposed to have my full size van (nickname: The Beast) worked on. The cost was going to cost more then I bought the van for.
So, now I'm looking for a newer full size van. Hopefully by the end of this summer I'll start a new dream and a year from then move back to the camper van life style.
