Just for context, the reason why the makeup looks terrible is because this challenge happened after Trinity K Bonet was eliminated (the black queen), production pulled out all the darker shades of foundation from the competition. The queen (Joselyn Fox) who had to do a makeover on another black person had to improvise with the makeup. Hence why it looks metallic.

Also, the guy who went through the makeover did NOT want to be there at all. They were forced by their woman to participate in the makeover challenge. I think he cheated or something beforehand? Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I’m remembering correctly— he threw up out of humiliation because he was a football player too and knew his football buddies would say something. Or maybe I’m mistaking him. But I do remember Joselyn treating him LOVINGLY no matter his attitude. Drag Race set up Joselyn to lose though 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wonder why the production team did not return the makeups for deep skins. They surely know who the guests were. Did they take the makeups off site, so they can't put them back? Did they shoot this episode in one day so there were no time? Although I think that's highly unlikely.

They pulled all of the dark foundation on purpose regardless of the contestants with darker skin tones being gone at this point it doesn't mean that they need to pull from the entire inventory that the contestants have access to
