In the intro of the last Clone Wars arc, the narrator states the Republic Forces are pushed to the brink and just after the battle of Coruscant, it turned the tied of War in the opposite direction as he states in this intro. If both sides are pushed to the limit, wouldn't it be more of a stalemate?

I got chills when I saw the animated version of the obiwan and anakon rescue imagine if they animated all the original movies and change nothing else

You know what the crazy part is?

We know Palpatine pretty much decided who won every battle in the clone wars.

General Grevious is a sound tactition and strategist. Since he's not receiving his orders from Dooku anymore, who in turn received his orders from Palpatine, he has free reign to use whatever sound tactics he wants. This could have easily turned out really terrible for the Republic.
