it is insane to think about 2019. I thought of 2018 as the epicenter of "the late '2010s", and 2019 is special in that regard that it's the only post-2018 '10s year we have. This was like a giant alpha pre-release, early access year to the larger title ahead of the 2020s. It will be amazing to see how 2019 compares to the '20s development, just as 2009 was culturally and musically like a little prologue & precursor to the '10s in many ways.
