I'm a Russian guy who is planning on taking a month-long vacation trip to the US for the first time ...
My American buddies invited me over and told me that they could offer me a rent-free place to stay in a suburb of San Diego, California, and in downtown Austin, Texas ...

Being on a tight budget, I would be able to visit only one of those states ...
Which of them do you think I should choose and why?My main interests are practicing my American English with native speakers, visiting natural wonders and meeting single women searching for a life partner.

Also, my friends suggested that I learn to use some US slang or I won’t be able to communicate with the local residents on a proper level but I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort …
Won’t Americans be trying to express their thoughts in plain English seeing that they are dealing with a foreigner?

i wish cindy did not change her teeth structure. it looked so nice and natural on her even if it wasn't perfect. now she had it look perfect, but it deteriorated her whole face. i just realized changing teeth structure is a huge make or break decision. like when lee min ho changed his, it was the major contributor he totally lost his out-of-this-world beautiful face. and now cindy, one of the few doll-like actresses, and it became different also since the teeth change. oh how i wish she could get back her natural teeth.

I watch helicopters that are saving the 'this shouldn't be too hard' and 'I want a photo from the top of that mountain and I want it now!' tourists every weekend or throughout the summer season almost every day. What these tourists don't realize is that people will risk their own lives to get them out of the mess that would never have happened should they be just a little more realistic and would listen to the ones that have a bit more knowledge and experience. I'd like to smack this girl when she dismissed a completely legit offer from the guide to simply wait a few days coz, how strange, he's got life that doesn't spin around an arrogant journalist! And then she has a face to call him things! Get a perspective, lady!
