Why do people say things like "a black person should've won it" or "a white person should've won it"etc.Awards should be given to the best actor, actress, director etc.Not based on the skin colour and stuff like that.

People of color???
Term only used in America.
Outside, we just call people Korean, Chinese, British, Canadian, and American.

The worst Oscar ever. Long, boring and full of cheap ideology. It is the end of Hollywood.

They didn't even try to make it entertaining. Most times they didn't even show clips. The announcers didn't even seem like they wanted to be there themselves. Felt more like a talk show than an award show

Hollywood is a bad joke at this point.

Anthony Hopkins went 29 years between Best Actor would seriously doubt any other actor has spanned that many years between Oscars.

Korean lady exposed the “supporting actress” ordeal. She let everyone know that she never even met brad while on film despite winning the award for supporting actress 🤐

1990's Oscar criteria: movie must have great plot, phenomenal acting, and high production values
2020's Oscar criteria: movie must star minorities

Hopkins was amazing in "The Father"
I would be surprised if he didn't win

As much as I love Joaquin Phoenix, his presentation was a disaster. Hopkins deserved a standing ovation for his performance in The Father, will go down as one of the best performances in history of cinema. Joaquin should have let permitted it, the applauses to last longer. Just like when Roman Polanski won his Academy Award in 2003 and he was not there, but still, received a standing ovation. And shame on the producers for breaking a tradition of 93 years: there's a reason why Best Picture is ALWAYS AT THE END, cause it means excellence on everything, acting, directing, writing, costume design, cinematography, etc. To push Best Actor to the last award just for ratings was wrong in so many levels and disrespectful. Shame on you, Steven Soderbergh, Stacey Sher and Jesse Collins

Last year was the lowest in the history of broadcasting the Oscars for viewership. This year the awards ceremony saw over 50% fewer viewers
than last year, they were abysmal.

I'm so glad Hopkins win, though as much as I love Chadwick's performance in Ma Rainey's, Hopkins was way superior than him. Chad had no chance against Hopkins. He won because he gave the best performance of the year and I'm so grateful he won!!

It's interesting and impressive to have Yuh jung Yoon, a supporting actress, in the center of the thumbnail. Thanks for that as a Korean

Nomadland won best picture, director and actress. Homeless people were evicted off the grounds so they could collect those awards. LoL. Pure Hollywood. Priceless.

I think I am the only one who thought The Father should have won Best Picture.
