Originally developed 40 years ago, these simple rules are still the cornerstone for safety for cave divers. Even if you follow these rules, cave diving is still a high risk activity. The only way to completely avoid the possibility of cave diving accidents is to never do anything except sit on your couch and watch other people live life.
