Is this 2020 Shelby GT500 the Ford Mustang YOU would BUY?

The GT500 has made a triumphant return for 2020, and it is selling well. Under the hood is a 5.2L supercharged V8 that is pumping out 760HP & mated to a 7-speed Tremec DCT transmission. There are certain options that is making this particular type of GT500 the best selling one. We will look at all the features plus of course go for an ON THROTTLE drive. I've watched Joe over the years in many super sleds. This one in particular has him the most geeked of any of em that I've ever seen.

I'm now staring at a certified-used 2020 GT500, same Rapid Red, same specs, at my local Ford dealer.

I was 36 in 2006 and I kept telling my wife I want a sports car. She finally asked me: "What, are you going through a mid-crisis?" I replied: "No....but I'm planning on it!" My wife agreed that when my daughter graduated college that I could, 'within reason', get what I want. Well, my daughter graduates in April! My wife never thought she'd have to make good on the deal! LOL! (Been driving the soccer mobile minivan since 2009!) It's my time! I just discovered Raiti's Rides a few weeks ago and have been watching scores of his reviews. I love Joe's enthusiasm and his thorough reviews. Man, I would like to meet this guy one day! Definitely helping me 'shop' for my new ride next year. If I can squeeze this GT500 into the 'within reason' category, then this is the one! If not, I will likely look at the Mach 1 or the Type R. (Had an '02 Si and loved it!) Joe's reviews on those cars were equally excellent of course. Man, thanks so much Joe!!!

I would love a GT500 but no one has one at MSRP. Even the Ford dealership I have bought 3 cars from in the last year wants 5k over msrp from me and 10k over msrp for anyone else. Great car but Ford should control pricing more. Great Review.
