This is absolutely adorable! Just one suggestion--if before you smock the sleeves you at least fold and press the hems while the fabric is still unpleated, I think this might make it easier to then sew the finished sleeve hems after the smocking is done. This has to be one of your most amazing projects--I absolutely love it!

I aspire to have the same level of patience and commitment as you when it comes to sewing. It's my biggest downfall and leads to so many mistakes. This project was totally worth it! It looks stunning on you and fits your style perfectly 🥰

That smocking on the sleves and shiring is so stunning and beautiful, such a statment and music to my ears hearing those scissors.

Absolutely lovely Janelle. Living in the UK we’re well into the Autumn and short daylight hours, this is an ideal project for the longer nights ahead, a great idea ✂️🧵🪡💕

Love, love, love! You picked the perfect fabric, the perfect embroidery thread colours and smocking pattern. Now, you'll have to try some smocking in another area on a pretty dress and show us that, too!
