The AMD RX 5700 - Is This One of the Best Graphics Cards For The Money Right Now?

The AMD RX 5700 (Non XT) can be found for a really reasonable price on the used market, especially if it's a reference blower-style GPU. I purchased this, now budget graphics card for just £115, and it seems to be able to handle all of my 1080p gaming needs.

I bought the same rx 5700 blower style for 90 euros. Pair it with a ryzen 5 3600 and you have a very solid budget gaming pc.

Great video! I've had my 5700 for over 4 years...bought for $300 on BF 4-5 months after release. Initially paired with an old oced 2500k at 70-80% utilization but double the performance of my RX 470 4gb. Now on a 5600x which maxes it out it has been a great card for the money...hope it lasts me another 3-4+ years. :)

I absolutely love the rx 5700/ rx 5700xt reference models. Got myself a reference 5700xt and boy does it run hot, but it definitely handles anything I throw at it.

This GPU is the best card you can get on a budget. In my testing, the XFX rx 5700 DD hitting 1900mhz on default bios setting and in performance, it is almost on par with rx 5700 xt. I hope you can get that variant too and compare it with the vanilla rx 5700.

I bought my 5700 XT brand new in August of 2020, right before the GPU crisis. I couldn't have made a better choice! I still use it to this day!

Nice video, keep the good work, I have the same 5700 for a year, the first time when I bought it for 100 euros it reached 106 degrees in the apex with the fan at 70%-80% (vacuum cleaner sound) after I opened it and saw the abomination of a dust cover covered the radiator (absolutely no air passed through it), I cleaned it and now it is at 80-90 degrees in heavy gaming and the fan stays at 40%
With this video card and the rest of the components bought from facebook marketplace and flea market I managed to make a computer for under 400 euros
The price of the components
b450 mortar max - 15 euro (flea)
ryzen 5 5600b- 80 euro (fb)
32gb ram corsair red led 4x8- 50 euro (fb)
Some aero cool psu 600w- 3 euro (flea)
One m2 ssd 500gb wit dram- 32 euro (new)
Case- deepcool macube 110 wh- 75 euro (new)
2 cases fan corsair brush for- 2 euro (flea)
And the 5700 for- 100 euro (fb)
And all my pc peripheral are from the flea market.
Sorry for my bad english ;d

i snatched one of those aliexpress refurbished ones for around 150k CLP (160 USD with current conversion rates) i'm fairly impressed with it's power per dollar offering, and it's been rock-solid. blew my old 1650S out of the park for like 30% less price

I bought one for 270 euro when they were new, put the XT Bios on it like you. Gamed on it with the memory peaking at 108 degrees sometimes for a year or so! Mined on it running 95w/50 mhs then sold it to another miner at the height of the Etherium boom for 600 euro! Great card that paid for my RTX 3080, X570 Tomahawk, 5800X3D and Silent Base 802. Happy times! I wonder if it's still working because it was heavily abused.

I love my 5700XT! Paid $200Cad ($150usd) over a year ago, and its been fantastic. With a UV + OC, its pretty quiet, and pretty fast!

Had a 5700xt before the 6700xt. Cracking budget 1080p card so not surprised this one delivers as well. Good video matey.

I always wanted to put a Ryzen 5700 on a X570 motherboard, then the 5700 as the GPU because of the numbers lmao

Got an Dell OEM 5700XT for 90USD, paired with an i5 11400F, absolutely love the performance it gives

Got one of these last December and also did the bios flash trick. I replaced the stock thermal pad with conductonaut and the temps/noise is actually pretty acceptable even with a power limit of 225w. (yeah, when stock it's a pad for some reason. You need to add nylon washers under the mounting bracket when using other TIM though.)

I had the RX 570, 550, and later the 580 4gb and 8gb models. I know that was 2016, but by 2019 I was in Nvidia-land. Great video.

Bought a sapphire pulse one in 2019 for 290 euros and it's an absolutely great card, excepts it started giving some problems with the latest drivers, especially on vr, so hopefully they will fix it soon
EDIT: they released new drivers 3 days ago 👍

picked up my 5700xt openbox for $271 in 2019. the driver issues were super annoying but after about a year it was all good and I am still using it to this day. I think I will wait one more generation before upgrading

I've been running my 5700XT for over two years and it's been pretty good. Surprised at how well it does in VR. Had some early issues with freezing/black screens but has been pretty stable since.

The GPU temps your getting look really good. I have a 5700 blower and my temps always seem to hover around 82 even after cleaning and repasting
