Here are some beautiful m7 variations that you can add to your repertoire. Some of them are a bit spicy, and some are also a bit stretchy 😁

Weird is more appropriate than beautiful I would say. Interesting atmosphere those chords create..

This is really helpful for me. Could you do this kind of video with maj7 and dominant chords as well? It's good to be able to vary up your sound even if you're just player bread and butter type stuff

Am7(9, 13) does it for me. Creates beautiful suspense that sounds like you can resolve it many different ways. Thanks for sharing Jens!

They all sound great. It's just a matter of context (how they are used) that would make one more appropriate for comping. They are beautiful, commonly used jazz, chords. They are a nice break from the basic chords that are commonly found in rock, blues, country. Of course this can be an aquierd taste. Sometimes you just have to have played enough plain vanilla chords, to get tired of them and want something with more coloring.

They all sound great. There are no boring chords. It's in the way that you use it.

Am7 (11, 13) gives a bittersweet, full sound which is just beautiful.

I like them all. I think the one I’d like best would depend on context. Thanks for some nice ideas 😊

i like:
the 5th and 8th ones - Am7(9)
and the 9th one - Am7 (9, 13)
they have that Holdsworth-esque feel, sparse, with a hint of dissonance, and tons of emotion
