Everything Is Magnetic! Moving Water With Magnets And Levitating Frogs

This is another Hydraulic Press Action Extra video science moment. Watch as I show how everything is magnetic. I show how everything is diamagnetic-it repels a magnetic field. First I show off my N52 Neodymium magnets. Then I show how if the magnetic field is applied to low friction column of water you can actually push water with a magnet. Then I show the same effect on wood. Ultimately, I guess my point is that Magneto from X-men should be able to manipulate anything with his magnetic powers since everything truly is magnetic. I show a picture of a frog levitating in a very strong magnetic field.

I came to this video trying to find an answer to a question about an experience I had several years ago where holding a strong magnet under my chin made a lemon taste sweet. Not everything is repelled. Aluminum is attracted. If that paramagnetic portion is stronger than the diamagnetic portion, then there's a very weak attraction.

Not everything is diamagnetic. Some materials are paramagnetic, anti ferromagnetic, or of course ferromagnetic

Why so many dislikes? Were they expecting to see the levitating frog?

Was the frog alive after the experiment.... Did the frog survive the magnetic forces that caused it to float (levitate) ??? Perhaps the ISS is not an endless "vomit comet" doing mach 30... rather, the ISS is up there in those kinds of magnetic forces. Really want to know about the frog if any have an answer. I'll also check original video... thanks

It only works because of both of the fabrics are polar. This doesn't work with apolar fabrics so you can't manipulate all fabrics.
