East Carolina University in the 1960s ran a single wing offense. This kind of movement went on all game long. No one knew who had the football until someone handed it to a bewildered ref in the end zone . So much fun to watch. The coach Clarence Stasavitch was a football genius.

I agree. Lots of people here saying "If that guy made the tackle, this play wouldn't have worked, " but it's because this play worked that he (just barely) missed the tackle. They're not giving this awesome play the credit it deserves.

From that angle that the D-End had to do in order to turn to the right guy is it really hard to make a tackle.. Great vision and play understanding that he has spotted the right man at the first place.

Isn't the play over when the ball hits the ground? Or are you allowed to snap the ball twice?

The ball is an extension of the player's hand, which does not render the play dead. He also never snapped it but faked the second snap.

The ball touched the ground when he took the snap, and he was touched by an opposing player. Ball was down, BC's ball.
