I just bought this Bible back in July. I'm on a tight budget so I purchased the bare bones, faux leather, no gold edged pages. I did treat myself and paid a little extra for the thumb indexing though. I absolutely do not like a paragraph format, but when you first reviewed the Sola Scriptura, I saw the bolded verse numbers and knew I could deal with that. The first LSB I bought was one of the first releases, which is the hard cover, plain Jane, large print verse by verse. I wanted to see how it compared to the NASB, and I found that I was impressed with the LSB. I picked up the little guy to take with me when I have a doctor's appointment. The portability is great, and even though I was hesitant about the print size, I found that I don't have to struggle when it comes to reading the text. The notes are a different story, but for now, I manage! :)

I got the black calfskin paste down red letter. It's awesome, so supple and I love the Korean paper.

Here's a tip: I bought the green imitation leather version with Trinity knot. Beautiful... except for the white page edges. I used Ranger's Archival ink (sunflower) and dabbed it on the edges (held the Bible closed tightly). Two light coats resulted in a beautiful non-metalic gold that looks quite nice and a good complement to the dark green. (I can provide images of the final result if that would be helpful)

I like the LSB because they put the divine name back in the Old Testament over 5000 times. This would not be a Bible for Jews.
