Miniature Watercolor Set

In this tutorial, I'm showing you how to make miniature watercolor palettes and brushes that actually work! I’ll also show you how to make miniature paint tubes and how to make an actual painting using all the minis we created.

For such a teeny weeny brush, you could also use a tuft of human hair; its so much finer! Ask someone who is about to get a haircut if you can have just a teensy piece.

I've always wished I could paint, since I was a little girl that's been my desire. I'd spend Sunday mornings in bed watching back to back episodes of Bob Ross on PBS. Watching him filled me with such a intense feeling of peace, calm and tranquility despite not having an continuously stressful childhood. It was then, when I was 6, that I decided I wanted to be a painter - an artist - but none of my paintings looked better than a preschoolers efforts - even into adulthood. So I took after school art classes and I got "decent" at charcoal drawings but I still couldn't paint out the details I saw in my head. I'm 40 now, I still can't get my imaginings onto paper and it thoroughly bums me out. My brother, roughly 1.5 ago, purchased this exact paint kit for me in hopes I could use them to paint my clay sculptures (not kiln) b/c my creative outlet manifested in a multitude of other avenues. Regardless of how hard I try though my paint job ruins my sculptures. It's embarrassing how long it's taken me, especially with watching all your videos since you only had 3, plus a wide variety of others, to know that watercolor actually meant I needed water. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It literally just dawned on me tonight. I get so wrapped up in watching people create, and giving up on my painting dream, that I stopped overly paying attention to the methods.
