Femininity is not the same as girlishness. There is a wisdom and maturity in feminine clothes. 💯

Every time I wore a dress or a skirt my family would say "Where are you going?" It made me feel really self conscious but I just kept doing it until they stopped lol they still do it sometimes but you just got to keep pushing through!

You're right about feminine clothing now being considered "formal." The attitude has become "Why should I wear a dress/skirt/ect.? I'm not going anywhere special..."

"There is no reason why we need to be ashamed for looking like women"
Thanks. Just... thanks

I’m in college where everyone wears active wear to class and I always try to dress nicer and more feminine. This is such a helpful resource and I loved the diversity. God bless

I stopped wearing t-shirts altogether and I always wear a blouse. I try to wear skirts as often as I can, but when I don't, I always wear dark, high waisted jeans. I always use a handbag unless I go to the gym or hiking. I also always have a bracelet on. ☺️

Dropping some truth bombs down the line Mrs, that competition part is so true.
When women upgrade their appearance - when men upgrade their goals and climb = snide comments and envy
Never be discouraged and keep on marching your path.

Thank you for this topic! A lot of feminine gurus recommend us to dress more feminine but never touch on casual wear.

I love that in Japan teenage girls look and act girly while adult women look and act more feminine and give you that mother vibe ♡

I’ve always been a tomboy so I’ve always been a jeans and t shirt girl and to be honest I feel good and comfortable in it. But I loved the fact that you mentioned that simply by changing the colors up a bit, t shirt and jeans can become feminine. So thanks! I’m gonna try to add a balanced touch more

I love that you use all different bodies, races and cultures to demonstrate what you’re talking about. It makes my heart so happy to know that I’m not the only traditionalist who isn’t elitist or biased towards slim white women.

You are beautiful 💕

The yoga pants epidemic - you’re right, they are mostly for utility.

i remember as a child i would flat out reject dresses and pink (i'd literally run away from my mom whenever she would try to put me in a dress) because i thought being 'girly' was frowned upon. I wanted to be the 'cool' girl instead. Now i'm finally embracing my femininity inside and outside (:
