D2 caterpillar front guard equipment.

A description of what had happened to my d2 from former repairs and what guards are originally equipped. Next steps of the project are discussed.

I’m late to the party, but clearly this tractor is in good hands. I have a 3J with a fender tank that my grandfather purchased new in 1940. The rope start has never been an issue, as there is plenty space to wind the rope. Part of the J series charm I suppose. I’m enjoying seeing the differences/improvements on the U series.

Most parts stores have rolls of steel tube for brake and fuel lines . AGS brand. They sell it by the foot

If you can measure the pattern of the grill guard. Many places can cut a grill guard. C&C equipment on a video in the last month. Made a new grill guard on their equipment then bent it to fit in their press break . I dont recall if it was in a D7f video or a 850J video.

C and C has the ability to make grill guards as they do them for their tractors.

I always love seeing the evidence of what happened in a machine's past. Why are parts of it that redish color? it seems like a random assortment of parts have that.
