Makaton CarPark Karaoke - TRY EVERYTHING - Singing Hands

This is a super song by Shakira from the film ZOOTOPIA with such a great message that we just had to do it for our #Makaton #CarPark #Karaoke series. It's perfect for schools and choirs to sign along to with its message of keep going, try again and we all make mistakes but this is fine! Love it.

Note on signing - for birds falling out of the sky, we just had to gesture the flying bird wafting down so this is not a Makaton sign obviously!! We also borrowed the BSL sign for FAIL from the book 'Communication Link' which has lovely BSL drawings. If you want to keep the signing Makaton only, then you could use BAD for fail. But we wanted to use a different concept as actually you are not bad because you fail - sometimes you fail even when you do something well!
