The Goddess of Mischief really lived up to her name, didn’t she? Sylvie has won our hearts in this new series but really no one is talking about her plan to overthrow and kill the TVA. It was quite genius! Over the years, she collected a ton of reset charges as she worked to evade members of the TVA who worked to hunt her down and when she had enough she put her plan in motion. She was able to drop a ton of reset charges all across the sacred timeline and that caused everything to wig out while she infiltrated the TVA to enact her mission. But where exactly did she send all those reset charges and what does it mean for this superheroworld?

Luckily we got a quick glimpse and some of the places Sylvie sent her bombs and they include a whole host of familiar locations. She sent charges to Vormir, Asgard, Sakaar, Titan, and even to Ego The Living Planet! Man, how do you think Ego reacted? Probably not well. But anyway, what would these reset charges do to the timeline? Well, that’s what we’re here today to discuss!

So check out our video all about the new branches Sylvie created with her plan. After you’re done, be sure to hit that big like and subscribe button for more awesome superhero content like this! Oh and leave a comment or else these two variants will never get together! Better not risk it. Thanks for watching CBR! Let’s get started.

The TVA actually corrected the MCU timeline. When Loki and Sylvie cause the nexus event on Lementis we got a view of the sacred timeline at the TVA with Mobius...Loki and Sylvies love was the only variant energy on the sacred timeline, which is after she sent the charges and the TVA sent out the hunters.

Really seems like Sylvie sent the charges to random places because she just needed chaos to get to the "time keepers"

Perhaps Sylvie dropped the reset charge in Beijing to free the inhumans we’re introduced to on agents of Shield

Isn’t it possible that people who did research as detailed as your own (I.e., I had no idea what dates the reset charges went off, just a general notion that the culmination of them all going off at once would cause the so-called sacred timeline to redline) but anyway, MCU being as detail oriented as it’s fans, it laid out numerous possible theories for the future that you just mentioned in your video, thus giving Marvel numerous possible scenarios to use (or not) in future series or running series as a result of the explosion.

For ex., I’m not familiar w most of the villains mentioned or, at least, w the heroes in any great detail. I KNOW OF the Fantastic Four, but not much about them, but certainly it’s helpful to give them a boost from elsewhere. Or Kang (from a recent promo for season finale of Loki, somebody relevant in that series) obviously setting up reset charges in Kang’s timeline might hurt his ultimate plan, whatever it might be, for Loki, et al. How Sylvie knew about this remains a mystery to me, but perhaps he appears in Asgardian legend and prior to her arrest at age nine, she was aware of his possible problematic purpose re timelines which, after being captured, became relevant to her life. I wouldn’t know. Indeed, he remains a mystery until the finale itself.

And the timelines you couldn’t explain — they could be just as important moments in time for comic villains that you merely aren’t aware of (tho it appears unlikely) or for presently working on storylines that are likely to come up in near future Marvel projects. Like that small town in Iron Man 3 (totally escapes my mind) but it becomes important bc Iron Man turns up there filled w PTSD & extremis (IIRC) was tested on individuals at that site. Just for example.

Of course, my response is completely made up in the sense that it’s merely a guess & I have no idea if there’s any truth to the possibilities I mentioned. And I could t have done so w’out your having told me what all the rest charges WERE, which I greatly appreciate. Those details are not something I would ever know unless somebody like yourself told me about them. I truly appreciate receiving the extra knowledge!! And from somebody obviously steeped in Marvel and comic details. 😘🥰🥰

What if all those reset charges are the MCUs answer to how they introduce the What If series?

What about the possibility these timeline branches are somehow related to the upcoming ‘What If?’ Series? Seems like a great way to tie that project to the MCU.

Honestly, I think that the Beijing Time Bomb was meant to reboot Iron Fist. Just a thought, but not likely considering that the MCU is already going to have an Martial Arts Superhero in Shang-chi.

The question is, why does the TVA use Earth dates? Wouldn't there be a Chrononaughtical reference, if there is such a thing?

Since this hasn't been brought up since she did that I hope they mention or touch on what happened after those reset charges went off in Episode 6.

Are we going to more timelines like these in the future movies in the MCU? Which one of these timelines do you think is the best?

I’m almost positive that most of those charges are meant to be placeholders so that Marvel can continue to build up the MCU. These timelines don’t mean much now. So they will remain plot holes, for now, but will appear to link Marvel content for the foreseeable future…

This was a pretty entertaining video until the narrator had to put in his ignorant unsubstantiated opinion regarding Christopher Columbus. Take a basic history class or just stick with comics.
