Hello. I love your KGB videos! I have just planted 120 cherry trees on Mazzard rootstock, did the first KGB heading cut, and rubbed off all but the highest 3-4 buds. Everything seems to be going well. My question is that your videos show doing the first prune during the dormant season but I have heard that if the first 3-4 leaders grow vigorously, they can be pruned during the same summer. Have you ever tried that? Or should I definitely wait until this winter when they are dormant? Thanks again for all your videos!

Do you also have Regina and/or Kordia cherries, and do you prune them the same way? I've read here and there that they are an exception to the KGB system as they need longer lateral branches to fruit on, I'm trying to find out if this is true... I've planted a few cherries including Regina this winter, and am trying to figure out if I can prune them all the same or not... thanks!

What about a huge 10m high tree ?
It's easy with those small tiny trees, but what to do with big ones ?

Is it possible to cut the cherry tree the same for an espalier tree? I have two trees with 6 layers and are about 2, 8 meters high. So to cut back the growth on the main branches like you did for the kgb? I'll ask because the branches growing out of the arms are growing to high and reach almost each other.
