Sainz didn’t indicate a lane change and Checho didn’t honk to let him know he is there

This is typically an F1 24 game crash I swear 😂

The thing nobody mentions is, if you have your car alongside, youre *also* entitled to holding your line, the 90° corners means Checo doesnt want to lose any advantage in line *if possible*. I think this was more a case of Sainz not knowing exactly where Checo was. I tend to think racing incident is correct. The stewards agree Sainz slightly steered into him and ".... there was nothing unusual about Perez’ line, but he could have done more to avoid the car that he had better view of. In conclusion, the Stewards deem this to be a racing incident with neither driver being predominantly at fault, and take no further action."

Every one races for themselves. Just because Checo had space to his left, doesnt mean that he had to "use all the space". Just like Carlos, he also wanted the slipstream from Leclerc. Carlos knew Checo was on his left, and still moved to the left.. Does that mean Checo should move out as well, lose his advantage and give Carlos a free run to the podium? Not even teammates does this, so why rivals should????

It is clearly a collision caused by Ocon, 10 second penalty

ultimately its prolly just a racing incident. but its a bad look for Perez who had the space to mitigate it. instead. he got 0 points

Does anyone else think the sun shining directly into their faces had any impact? seems that sainz didn't even know checo was there, could be it was too bright to see into the mirrors?

Palmer’s analysis will always find Checo at fault 😂 But as JP Montoya very politely expressed it: “you have to be blind or s+upid” to blame him on holding his ground and not expecting the other driver to cut into him.

Driver has the right to hold their line. It's racing not road traffic.

If other driver doesn't move, it doesn't mean you'll just push yourself into them... Carlos could've kept himself on his line, it's not like he's out of track, he had plenty of space.... By same logic any driver can push other one out of racing line...

since when do we place blame on a driver for holding his ground? sainz also had space to NOT move over INTO perez’s line. Sainz is NOT well ahead, PEREZ wheel was almost halfway up Sainz car.

The accident was faster than the mind.

If you notice, ahead on the track, the small space outside the white line gradually disappears, Sainz had to come on the track again or he would crash against the barriers.

kmag crashed Perez, “no further action”, Sainz crashed Perez, “no further action”… both cases comments are “Perez could avoid the accident“… very obvious that Perez is not the favorite driver for the press…

This guy's comment about Perez "having" to use the other prt of the track is riduculous. Perez was going straight, Sainz knew Perez was there, considering that he had just passed him and should have checked his mirrors before moving to the left. Basic road rules, Perez was "in his own lane/line", Sainz drove into Perez.

so u can just push into another car and then blame it on them for not avoiding it?
