Is the user password on the CHECK_MK system stored in encrypted form in the SNMPv3 connection profiles?

I think you know this and its only a little mistake, but SNMP stands for Simple Network Management Protocol*

hey CMK youtube pal(s), novice question here but I am trying to use network discovery to scan a subnet and despite nmap finding ~60 hosts, the checkmk IP range scan (which has been running, not an issue of executing) keeps finding 0 hosts. do I need SNMP preconfigured for anything I want to discover? should I just stick to my guns and use nmap then install the agent for each host (by OS) using ansible or something? open to advice here
