Fixed this Yamaha RA-200 rotary speaker. Apparently this is also used by David Gilmour.

I found one of these at an auction years ago. The auctioneer called it an old jukebox. I bought it for $5.00 what a deal.

sitting in a garage, sun is shining outside on a warm summers day, and your mate brings this out after a few beers. Life is good.

Damn that's one quiet motor as well

100% if Yamaha re-issued these they would sell like hotcakes.

It´s a theme from the song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd 😎

I've watched this 100 times now. This is amazing!

That is so awesome. I could just play that little riff over and over and stare at those speakers rotating for hours.

Yamaha is excellent in music instruments.
This leslie is less known that the original but very good.
On an Yamaha organ GX1, it's expected to put two cabinets.
I own two Yamaha analogic organs: D65 and D85. I like very much their sound.

Paid quite a bit more, but I bought the RA 100, two tumbling speakers and two front firing stationary 12 inch speakers. I love it.

No way, that's one of the coolest things I've ever seen :)

Damn, that speaker is awesome. That riff is also sweet. It reminded me of something and for a while I didn't know, what that was. Turns out, it's Love Hurts by Nazareth. Just in case someone had the same experience.

Those rotary speakers where also put in some of Yamaha's electronic home organs. I had a B-5CR Model for a year or two until I bought a YC-45D. I decided to gut the B-5 for parts and I'm currently planning to turn the amplifier section into a RA-50 like speaker.

I have seen Leslie cabinets before but this is the first time in over 40 years of playing guitar I’ve ever seen or even heard of one of these. Cool!! When you think you’ve seen everything….

I had one in '75 '76. Sounded great with a Yamaha YC 30.

Sounds good; looks huge. A bit dry on the low speed setting, which probably has to do with the design of the cabinet.
I used to have a Leslie and dumped because of it's size. I switched to the old Fender version for a while, which is considerably smaller.
The Neo Ventilator pedal became the final solution to this effect for me. Produces the closest thing to genuine Doppler shift that can be had in a pedal; Doesn't need a hand truck to move and doesn't need to be mic'd separately.

I've owned one of these 20 years ago 🤓🎶 Nice sound, but BIG! And HEAVY! 😆

Такого я ещё не видел. Даже не знал о существовании таких систем. Спасибо.

Oh Yeah... Their Own Spin on a Leslie... Man.. Nothing Can Replicate Sounds Bouncing Off of Different Surfaces and Objects at Varying Distances... Nothing... Just Absolutely Beautiful ☺☺😎💯💯💖

When Don Leslie was first building a rotating speaker he put 14 speaker/horns in the unit. One by one he unplugged the speakers and decided that one sounded best.
