Nissan Almera (N16) Oil and Coolant Service

Todays video covers the steps I took to carry out a basic Oil and Coolant change (including the oil filter) on a 2001 Nissan Almera 1.5 (QG15DE).

I also cover renewing the air filter, mainly because I had a brand new one, spare.

The overall process is very like that of the K11 Micra, the oil filter sits in pretty much the same spot, but, you have the added bonus of having a little more space available.

Standard safety practices apply. Do you go under the vehicle if it is supported by just the jack, follow manufacturers recommendations and do not attempt any work on your vehicle, if you have any doubt.

Hi there thank you for this video but I have a question about 12:00, isn't the car supposed to hold approx. 4.5L of coolant, may I ask why the emptying seems to be a very small fraction of that amount? Thank you in advance. :)

Exansion tank tank does what it say's as fluid expands with heat it goes to tank and as it cools it gets drawn back to radiator. Simple hey! When changing oil filter it is important to smear oil onto rubber seal to lubricate it when you screw it back on.

The engine oil capacity is 2.7L on the manual.
