Learn, in this plein air demo, how I paint buildings in a landscape. Please like, share, comment, and subscribe to my channel to watch more painting videos. My video teaches you some techniques to improve your plein air landscape paintings. I was painting today in some CHILLY weather to do another plein air painting. Temp. today is about 23 degrees and a little breezy. I used a limited palette consisting of Titanium White, Mars Black (very little), Ultramarine Blue, Cad. Yellow Pale, Cad. Red Medium, and Burnt Umber. The Burnt Umber was used for the block in sketch of tones and just a bit was used for the foreground colors. The brushes I used were small flats ( 1/4 inch wide) and a few small rounds. The thumbnail on Youtube shows the finished painting after tweaking in the studio.

Nice video! I like the idea to put pathetic original sky color here and there in the sky so even if there's a variation in the next mix of color, it'll be a subtle difference. "Mother color" - I never heard that before. Nice light too.

I like your work. Will try to find later videos and hope, like one person said...less shaky and there is too much sun and shadow.

Respect your ability and willingness to share but promising prospect nullified by too much camera wobble for comfortable viewing..
