"Artemis One is going to prove the capability of the SLS and Orion and exploration ground systems architecture and test the vehicle to ensure that we can safely carry crew on Artemis 2 and then return to the moon on Artemis 3. Here at Kennedy Space Center, the Exploration Ground Systems Team is busy upgrading the systems and infrastructure needed to process future Artemis missions."

ANNOTATION: On Friday, NASA held a pre-launch briefing on the role of industry in advancing space exploration ahead of its launch of Artemis I.

STORYLINE:
NASA held a prelaunch briefing on the role of industry in advancing human exploration.
On August 29th, NASA will provide coverage of prelaunch, launch, and postlaunch activities for Artemis I, the first integrated test of NASA's Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, and the ground systems at the agency's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
