I’m a year after a diagnosis of LADA (and all it’s lovely complications). I’m a ward based hospital pharmacy tech at the Evelina children’s hospital in London which happens to be the centre for children with the rare and novel hyperinflammatory syndrome which seems to be connected to covid-19 exposure (The lancet Shelley Riphagen et al). Fortunately I was removed from the ward setting to work in dispensary while this thing is active and currently the situation seems to be calming a little. Back on the wards week after next. Yay!

I have type 2 diabetes (66 years old) treated with oral medication. I have arteriosclerosis that I still have to remove. I now have high blood pressure and a slow thyroid gland. My kidneys have a reduced effect (40%). Am I a risk patient? I have a consultation with the vascular surgeon on 6/4, but I am afraid to get corona in the hospital. Rightly or wrong?

Hey. I’m hoping you can please answer this question that has been affecting my mental health. I am scared for my dad to get covid 19 because he has type 2 diabetes. His diabetes got worse through the years and now he also has high blood pressure. This gives me so much anxiety know that he now has two risks. Is it possible if he maintains a healthy lifestyle he’ll be as good as others being affected? i hope you reach to this bothering question. thank you

Hi doctor, i was curious if you had any opinion on the use of hydroxychloroquine on type 2 diabetics on metformin? I've heard reports that it could be toxic? I'm a 44 year old type 2 with an A1c of 5.6 and trying my best to control my glucose in case I catch it. Thanks doc!

The information I'm looking for is what plans should we have in place if the supply chain for insulin is disrupted. Is it even something to be worried about?

Hi docter just a curious question: As a type 1 diabetic and my blood suger levels are always nearly between 100-200 so in this case, am I more of risk to dying if I get this virus and are other people also?Thank you so much for the other helpful advise.

WE ARE MORE AT RISK IF WE HAVE TO STICK OUR FINGERS TO CHECK BLOOD SO COVER YOUR FINGERS USE A FINGER CONDOM OR GLOVES IF YOU MUST GO OUT OR SHARE A PLACE W SOMEONE COVER THE FINGERS THAT YOU STICK W NEDDLES
