I'm already missing the races, the thrill of an Italian clearing the targets, the silence inside the stadium when 30 athletes lay down for the first shooting of a mass, the battle on the tracks... Damn why isn't December already?

A great video, but for me the true beauty of biathlon is that no matter how deep the rivalry gets between teams, off the track everybody is civil and friendly. And how, if an athlete has a problem like a broken ski pole, the nearest coach, even if they are from their teams biggest rivals, will come out and give a ski pole to the poor athlete. This isn't anything in the rules, it's just sportsmanship and kindness. Could you ever imagine such generosity in formula one or football. Long live biathlon and all the wonderful people involved in it.
