Bynn the Breaker (Bastion original soundtrack)

hi all. first of all I want to say that I DO NOT own any of this music. It's all part of the awesome game called Bastion, on XBLA and PC. I'll be uploading all the soundtracks so you can enjoy them as much as I do.

What made the game for me was the art, narrative, and music. I want him to narrate my LIFE

Both the song in the "Art of Fighting" scene and this track are sampling a royalty-free violin loop that can be found in an Apple loop pack. This sample, as well as many others in Bastion (especially on this track in particular) are pre-made loops by artists that provided them for Apple for software such as Garageband. I'm not trying to rip on Bastion's soundtrack (I quite like it), but certain tracks like this were probably made by mostly drag/dropping pre-made loops which is kind of lazy.

And to fully clarify, I don't think sampling in general is lazy. Some of my favorite music ever uses samples. I'm just guessing that since Bastion uses a lot of Garageband samples, its soundtrack was mostly constructed in Garageband, and anyone who has used the software before knows how simple it is to create tunes out of their provided loops. I also feel it's lazy because these loops can be found all over the place in various media, so they stick out like a sore thumb to me.

The best weapon in the game, by far, is the Fang Repeater with tracking and maximum fire rate/spread. The bullets just swarm and kill everything. In most cases, you just have to point in the general direction of the enemy.

That was the easiest proving ground IMO, but I also used the bow through 3 playthroughs.
