Paul debunks the misconception that an animal based diet will not provide all of the vitamins and nutrients that you need. He explains the concept of bioavailability, and why we do not absorb a relevant amount of minerals from nuts and seeds.

exactly, Paul. we can thank Ansel Keys and Stanley Plotkin for people's chronic ill health today. time to re-examine everything we were taught. time to rid ourselves of antiquated thinking.

Your critics just need to go back to your first several episodes...especially #4 and #6.... and then all of the rest since them :)

How about fermented plant foods? I started eating them, along with kefir and yogurt after having cholera and they really helped my gut recover.

Can you please please make a video about vitamins ? Should we take them ? Are there brands better than others ?

Magnesium supplementation isn't that rare in carnivore communities.

And calcium might be a problem for those who have lots of intolerances (dairy, histamine, egg) and/or sensitive stomach (eggshell and bone might then be an issue).

I have found vitamin E readings for tallow and butter (or it might have been ghee), and it was approximately 2mg/100g. It might be that if someone is on a ruminant only diet, which seems the most popular diet, the low amount of PUFA might contribute to lesser need. Then of course egg yolks and fish roe are an amazing source of E.

Please also comment on gut motility and the effect of carnivore diets on the microbiome.

What about b1? I need to eat some rice, bread, and pasta or I'll disapere as I lift weights and I get way too thin when on just meat. These foods deplete b1. Thanks

Are comments being deleted Paul? I recommend you take a look at Dr Ben Lynch's work on folate and histamine intolerance. Folate is crucial for 200 different functions of the body.

What are your thoughts on fiber, the microbiome and beneficial bacteria and it's relationship with the immune system? Maybe you've talked about it before if anyone can link me to it. Thanks

What about thiamine. I'm curious how they have set the daily requirement. Maybe they have set it based on average population daily intake which mostly is grain based?! So it's high

The one thing that confuses me which is more of an observation is that I've not seen any studies that shows the effects of having both all organic meat sources along with vegetables/fruit. I understand that these plant foods have anti nutrients and are not as absorbed as well as meat but what happens with the combination of them both together? Do you still get the negative effects? I have tried to find studies on Google but to no avail.

I drink a mineral water that naturally has 1000mg of magnesium per litre. Sorted on my carnivore diet.
