Regarding the final call, the tackle started OUTSIDE the goalies area, which VAR also showed. Hence no penalty. Both teams can complain about some bad calls but the final one was spot on, if you wanna follow the rules at least.

1:55 Defense from the 7m area is a penalty. I am not saying that Denmark did not deserve to win.
Denmark had the advantage the whole game.
Rules are rules. Defense from the 7m area is a penalty. The referees did not award a penalty because after the penalty there might be overtime.
If by any chance this was in the 35th minute or at any time during the game, the referees would have awarded a penalty.
Since it was the end of the game, they did not award a penalty. It's not fair.

About the final call and why all comments are wrong (and sort of right):
The slovenian player jumps and his tackled in the restricted area on his fifth step. Therefore no penalty.

In the comment section people are defending the call for the wrong reasons. Normally in officiating (not officially, though) it has nothing to do with where the tackle starts, but where the attacking player is tackled on his third step (and its jump).

To be honest, in the slovenian defence, I thought at first it was on his fourth, which is sometimes (not in the official rules) given a penalty, when the attacking player is already being tackled already from his first step. But no - the "penalty" tackle happends on the fifth step.

If you put the speed on 0.25 it's clear to see that his first step is clearly on his right and he jumps on right. It gives the illusion that it's 3 steps, but no: It's still five steps.

He is where the tackles are:
1. step (outside of 9m line),
2. step (outside of 9 m line),
3. step (on the 9 m line / just inside - tbh difficult to see clearly),
4. step (between 8m and the 7m "line")
5. step (between 7m "line" and inside the 6m line)

If he was tackled on his fourth step Slovenia would probably have been given the penalty - just because of what's "normal".

Conclusion: The Refs made the right call on the final play.
