What does is mean to be a classical liberal?

I wish people would stop talking about libertarianism like it is a monolith. The range of ideas is so much more diverse in the libertarian ideology and especially in the Party. It’s easy to punch down to us when we are the most diverse political philology. Classical liberalism for the most part would be one such diverse view under the overarching libertarian perspective.

You don’t hear about conservative socialism, or green conservatives, or free-market progressives, or neo-classical progressives. The Rs and Ds are pretty good at ensuring a single ideology is adopted, but individual-minded libertarians are not.

And I’m guessing that wall is Islam for many liberals. But how do we make that judgement? Isn’t that relative too?

I think Atheist started out in a similar place tolerating those that believe in god from their POV.
