It's like a "soulmate", except they were made specifically to destroy you.

I know that story of the frog and the scorpion. I remember it going “The scorpion wanted to get across the river, but couldn’t, so it asked the frog. The frog helped the scorpion get across the river but once it got there the scorpion stringed the frog. As the frog dies he asks ‘why?’ The scorpion replied ‘because I’m a scorpion’” it was something like that idk tbh
