Ironically, some major U.S. plastic straw manufacturers and distributors are in several major cities in dire financial need, such as Chicago and San Francisco. Not sure the Democrats want to help them, but rather harm the industries within their areas. My homestate of CT used to be known for firearm, military, and tool manufacturers. Look what the Democrats have done to CT and those industries there.

Funny thing, we used to have paper straws and cups the problem was the same tree huggers pissed and moaned about cutting down trees. They even cried about the waxing of the paper to protect it. So business and politicians rolled over. Now the same dummies are crying about the alternative, plastic. What a joke.

Long time ago in communist time back in Poland we had hay straws, they was pack same way as straws now in paper slave but was from nice thick hay.
