We have stayed at the Plaza a few years ago & it did not look like this. It has been recently renovated to appear more modern. We didn't have a good stay here back then, but we may have to give it a second chance.

Oscars was the place for the famous dining scene between ace rothstein (Robert deniro) and ginger (Sharon stone) from the movie casino.

Buddy let me give you a part of history, the Plaza was the Union Plaza. That casino on the corner when you cross is the Golden Gate. One of the oldest casinos in Vegas. Oscars is named after the big time attorney & mayor of Vegas .

Only stayed there once in 2019 and vowed never again. Rooms were shabby, had no water and when I brought it to staff attention I was moved to a worse room with no water for a day. When I checked out there was no compensation for the inconveniences.

Love the plaza. I’ve had nothing but good rooms and gambling there. It’s a little quieter when I need a break from the craziness of Fremont street.
