monogram - letters and initials (for long names)
wordmarks or logotype - typeface (short namesp)
pictorial marks or logo symbol - symbol or graphic icon (strong brands)
abstract marks - pictorial logo but abstract geometric mark (eg : olympic)
mascots - an illustrated character to represent the company
combination mark - combines text and imagery
the emblem - typography inside an icon like badges etc.

Is there a name for an image well say of a person but its not detailed, just their main features i.e using their beard, mad floppy hair and glasses
