Calls for Clackamas County commissioner to resign after racist posts uncovered

A newly-elected Clackamas County commissioner is under fire for racist posts on social media. And on Tuesday, leaders in the Muslim community and others called on Mark Shull to resign.

Shull’s Facebook page is now shut down, but not before inflammatory posts were saved last week. A person who lives Clackamas County with ties to the local Democratic Party compiled them.

To Clackamas County councils: Move all the homeless tents to downtown Portland. They should build shelters only in downtown Portland so that they don't spread into the suburbs. Have Hllsboro pay. They caused the homeless crisis.

Are these comments really "islamophobic", "racist", offensive? It sure seems like Shull's points are not coming out of left field and are founded on at least a cursory understanding of Islam. I'd be interested in hearing from a Muslim who can speak to the authoritative text, Al-Taquiyya Fi Al-Islam since I've never heard ot it. Is that analysis wrong? If so, why? Instead of calling Shull an "Islamophobe", you should correct his flawed understanding. You're allowed to be offended by anything, of course (being offended is a choice), but in order to advance other people's understanding of you, feelings need to be set aside. As a Catholic, I'd give you my 2 cents to any Muslim on what I thought of a Pope's encyclical or anything else regarding the faith--I'd hope for the same honesty from them as well. Also, KGW should have read the BLM website which stated in the summer that it is in fact a Marxist organization looking to take down the patriarchal family structure--the fine gentleman Jason Whitlock even took offense to this.
