I thought this was a hit piece at first on what I pretty cool video! Yeah you definitely need a loop!

Love the idea of splitting up the game into 2 parts. I think it is easy to forget how long it takes to build out something and those bill don't go away.

You could keep the aesthetic and chill vibe of the current prototype and add a little simulation aspect to it. Basically something visual to spice it up that can drive people to find their own objectives. "If I build something here, these two villages can meet and trade" or something. Not too extreme to avoid scope creep. My first instinct was that fighting/action does not fit the style.

Nice video! I can definitely relate to the "where's the gameloop" problem, I got the same with my building game. I added a way for people to unlock new tiles to build, but otherwise I agree with the statement "this game might just not be for you"
Great stuff Thomas!

Crazy how it can come down to a split-second moment in a gif as someone scrolls past that makes the difference between being noticed and getting lost in the void. Goes to show how important visuals and colour palette can be in marketing!

Hello! This game looks amazing and is right up my alley. I am currently working on an underwater modular tank building rts game and I just saw your other game tanks but no tanks. Very excited to find you on YouTube!

Amazing video and congrats, that's some real recognition here! That does look like a fun game even without loop, which is awesome considering how hard it is to get player attention even with a fun game. And you made this first version in only 2 weeks? Woaw. 🤯 Can't wait to see what you come up with. Good luck!

Yo insane video as always. Constantly improving your videos and the game, it is super impressive what you are able to get done in such a short amount of time. Keep it up bro.

I've been wanting to do the whole "split the game I want to make into smaller games to make it more feasible thing" thing myself at some point. So it's always cool to see others work on it, your project looks good. Goodluck on development

YOOO we are living the same life, but you’re paving the way for me lmao. My next game is gonna be a halfway point artsy lego-type game because I wanna make a bigger game based on the levels/tools I make. Good luck Thomas!!!

I love the way indie devs support each other. It warms up my heart and encourages my passion for indie game development.

Good stuff. I appreciate devs who, know what their game is and want to stick with their visions despite being told what to change, but still have the ability to listen to what others are saying. It is more interesting to see people try and explore what is not convention.

Been loving the progress man, I think between the initial hook and more importantly the scope is perfect. Will keep watching!

It was cool to hear what you have planned with the tactics game, as that's pretty much what I saw this as! I was already picturing how this could be used to design tabletop game battle maps, for example, right in Devlog #1! I think this is a fantastic idea, and I can't wait to see where this one goes.

You are doing exactly what I am doing, making smaller games inorder to build the larger game. Personally I am deeply looking forward to any tactics games you make, given the quality of creation right here. Stay Strong, Mauri Ora !
