Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes, a game being developed by the Suikoden team. Not gonna lie, I had my doubts about Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising but after experiencing the gameplay I have new opinions! I played Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising on the Nintendo Switch, but it is available everywhere (except mobile lol) I enjoyed Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising more than I thought and this makes me super hyped for when the game actually releases!

" Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising combines a thrilling adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town's rise from the ashes. Drawn by lenses and other treasure in the nearby Runebarrows, our heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they'll resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don't think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they'll learn more about each other's reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process. For a $7 game, I really couldn't complain much. Its a better bang for the buck than most games nowadays especially AAA games

Honestly sometimes I love simple fetch quests, especially if the gameplay is fun. The chain attacks look so satisfying to pull off here! I'm not one of the many who plan to play Eiyuden Chronicle when it comes out but can't wait to hear more about it and my fingers are crossed it's as good as it's looking.

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.
I even got the Platinum! A great forAy into the world of Eiyuden and a nice introduction to some of its colourful cast. Showing CJ, Garoo and Isha with their updated looks for the main game was a nice touch too, can't wait to learn about what they've been up to.

Very nice! I was not necessarily looking to pick this up, but I think you convinced me. I don't have quite as much free time these days, so a short-ish RPG may be a selling point for something for a nice weekend or two.

This was the game I spent most of my time playing over Christmas last year. It makes a very nice palate cleanser-style game between meatier experiences. Combat is simple but fun and the mechanics are engaging enough to fill out the modest run-time. Things do get a litte tedious if you go for 100% completion with the back and forth collecting. At a certain point I just stopped optimising my accessory build because going into the menu to adjust for different elemental statuses in each changing area was just a pain. Of course 100% is by no means necessary and by the end at max level with best gear it didn't really matter what the game threw at me.

A recommend if you want something light, fun, and quick.

Played this game too when I helped kickstart Eiyuden Chronicles. Honestly, for what it's worth, this game was alright. It wasn't sensational, and didn't need to be. It just did enough to satiate my Suikoden appetite while Eiyuden gets going, even if it won't come til' next year, just like the Suikoden HD series next year.
