You really held your own in the race. AI's are tough cookies in this circuit.

I'm guessing you didn't see my comment on the Jeddah race so I thought should re-post these:
1. In order to place in a good start you must stop within the range of 0-0.5 (update: make that 0.7-0.3)
2. In some turns you downshift to 1 gear too low. You can just drop to 3rd and coast when entering them.
3. Your throttle control. When you are 4th gear and lower do not go full to maintain traction. You can when you go 5th and beyond.
I did mention about pitting but you already did it.

There are more tips that others may wanna chime in.
Hope these help.

Since the next race is Baku. Brace yourself. The circuit is tough to get traction exiting the turns.

Great video - I suggest you try to use less overtake. It's tempting to abuse it to defend, but you were low on it by lap 5. ERS management is critical in the overall race result on this game at least
