EMOTIONLESS [CC] // Tigerstar Complete MAP

This MAP is a bit of a character study on the iconic warrior cats villian, Tigerstar, and how his father Pinestar leaving left a huge gap in Tigerstar's life that he attempted to fill in with other cats in his life, such as Thistleclaw and Bluestar, but when those two bonds fell through, and an annoying kittypet who is also ginger with green eyes moved into the clan- Tigerclaw only saw one other path, a path of selfish desire and desctruction, whether it be self-inflicted or to destroy those he felt wronged him.

This video is not to say that anything is Pinestar's fault- (also Mistkit and Nightkit die before he leaves, so thats on me- i changed this slight detail hehe), this MAP is simply seen through by the eyes and mind of Tigerclaw. This song is basically a "Why? What was it? I Hate you but i have to wonder, What made you want to leave us behind? What did I do wrong?", with sprinkles of Tigerclaw slightly have a guilty conscience in some scenes.

This MAP has actually been done for almost a month now, it finished just before Christmas but with all the holiday videos and activities happening, i had to put it on hold, so thank you everyone for your patience!

But now I'm pleased to finally share it with you all!

Makes you realize how much Longtail and darkstripe hate kittypets, it's because of tigerstar's dad becoming one and abandoning tigerstar. 😭

after reading pinestars choice it really made me realise how tigerstar was, not justified, in what he did but definitely was in his own right to feel the way he felt. pinestar sealed his fate when he chose to leave him instead of guide him on the right path, because he was afraid of what his son could become. pinestar left to become a kittypet and firestar left being a kittypet to become a warrior, i’m not surprised tigerstar saw him as a projection of his father and wanted to announce his feelings about his absent father to a present firestar. they both had the name heart before they become leaders for starclans sake! firestar was just a walking image of everything tigerstar hated about his father like COME ON ERINS!!

I like the fact that tigerstar sees pinestar in fireheart that is a good headcanon for his hatred towards fireheart. This map is lovely and it really shows that tigerstar is just like any cat he is still a warrior he was always loyal to thunderclan even when fireheart came into the picture

Everyone did so well! Glad I caught the premier! My fav bit would have to be the fight in Bluestar’s den, how Tigerclaw sees Fireheart as his dad and loses it a bit.

Also, I have some thoughts for Tigerclaw's character too. Since Pinestar became a kittypet and Fireheart used to be one, I love the idea of Tigerclaw projecting his hatred onto Fireheart. He did many horrible things in the books, but it always felt to me like an accumulation of resentment and anger over how unfair his childhood was, and when Fireheart came along and Bluestar broke the code to let him into Thunderclan, it not only threw his original plans of gradually manipulating the clan into chaos, but Fireheart also reminded him too much of his father. Since Fireheart knew his secret - that being he killed Redtail along with the fact Bluestar had a bias for Fireheart, it could have made Tigerclaw more desperate in his pursuit for power, it seemed to me like it gave him an extra shove to become more ruthless and show his true colours, since he couldn't hide them from his clan anymore once Fireheart arrived. Then once he got exiled he became isolated and didn't really have anyone to confide in (besides Sasha, but he was still really cold with her and unfairly critical, even if he did love her - imo I think it was to do with the fact she was a kittypet as well so he probably felt conflicted on his feelings. But yet what interested me is that fact he didn't kill her when she refused to join him) Overall, I think the slow build up in the first arc where he begins to grow more bloodthirsty once Fireheart arrived really reflected with how angry he really was about Pinestar leaving him, even if he didn't want to admit to himself. At least that's just my thoughts on why he became like he did. Not that it makes any of his actions redeemable, I just think he's a great antagonist tbh, I think him, Darktail and Sleekwhisker are probably my favourites, haha

Though, when I first read Bluestar's Prophecy it always made me wonder if Tigerclaw would've grown up to be more caring if his sisters survived, he was always a bit aggressive even as a kitten with how he fought, but I like the think that if things would've been different maybe Mistkit and Nightkit could have offered him support and given him a healthy outlet for how he felt and if he got a different mentor, he wouldn't have gone down such a destructive path. I hope all of this made sense aksjldkjaksj

I've always loved exploring characters in a different light compared to how they're originally shown! And boy does this make you look at Tigerstar differently!! I LOVED the den scene with Bluestar, and the ending hits so very hard! Amazing job everyone!

As much as I prefer the first arc over every other series in Warriors, I really wish the first one explored Tigerstar's reasoning in those books and not just in an extra! It would have added a deeper layer to him other than simple ambition, from the very beginning, so you wouldn't have to read a seperate book just to know his backstory. This is a very well-made MAP, a good idea!

Mapleshade heard her Kit's wailing untill she got revenge, when she killed it got quieter

Scourge was abused by his litermates then beaten up by tigerpaw(clawstar). He hated what he had become.

Tigerclaw's father ran away and left him.

Clear sky(antagonist in one book of dawn of the clans, but became nicer). His little, weak, frail sister died in the mountains.she starved to death. He became 'villain' to make skyclan to make sure no others starved to death.

This has to be one of my favorite maps now, I always had somewhat of a soft spot for Pinestar and Tigerstar's relationship. To me, I never really saw Pinestar as much as a coward, but moreso a cat that was put in some of the worst situations. His ancestors literally told him to kill his son or else he'll destroy everyone. I don't necessarily blame him for leaving because, how could you? Even if he went through with it, how do you explain to everyone that you had to murder your infant son? I had thought previously that Tigerstar likely did project his hatred of his father to Pinestar, because the leader breaks the code to let in a ginger kittypet to the clan who immediately becomes the leader's most trusted warriors? I would feel extremely bitter. I think this map perfectly establishes underlying nuance between the three. It honestly made me cry in the end how Pinestar does return to him to give him a life. It still shows that Pinestar never did stop loving his son, even though his son stopped loving him a long time ago.

I LOVE this! Tigerstar is my utmost favorite character, and seeing a brand new map to a new look on his life, this is amazing! The part where Tigerclaw is face to face with Fireheart but sees his father... A lot of people forget that that was one of Tigerstar's biggest reasons for hating him, he was the spitting image of his father. Love, love, love this.

My ONLY critique is with the art itself, and it's NOT bad by any means, I'm looking more at the continuity of his ear clip. At the beginning of the video, it's on top of his ear, then we see him actually getting it and it's on the bottom (though this I don't really blame, being an artist myself it looks more dramatic on the bottom because of perspective, so this is fine) then after him getting the clip, its just about never seen again. But it doesn't ruin or intervene with any aspect of the video, so it's just a small critique.

Other than that, AMAZING job, and this is now one of my favorites. :D

tigerstar was genuinely a good villain in my eyes, i felt like he really was well rounded as a villain in general n that he gets too much hate for being a 'cliché' bad guy. dude had every reason to end up like he did and wasn't evil just to be evil, yknow?

This was a super cool map, I especially liked the last part where he finally sees pinestar in starclan about to give him a life. It’s interesting to see how you interpreted tigerstar’s character, since there’s not a lot of his POV in the series.

This MAP is beautiful! The animations are chef's kiss. This concept is so interesting. I really like how it adds to his character, but he is aware that the things he does are his fault, though he has issues after Pinestar left. Him seeing his father in Firestar is such a neat headcanon. Tigerstar is actually a fascinating character. He had his reasons to act the way he did and that's great for a villain. I'm happy to see such a MAP studying him.
