I bought a pre-owned macbook pro 2019 16inch few days ago. I test everything and it is fine. Except to that it has find my mac turned on and they are not the one owned the account. Then, I returned it to them to fix it to remove. I asked them if it is possible to turn off or remove. They said that. It is. They will just reformat the drive. reinstall the macos. Is that true? Or should I get a refund?

My friend was renting a room to a guy he paid her rent with a macbook air before he moved out. She booted it some guy face showed up and password obviously stolen. She asked me for help I found the guy online who it belonged to. I sent him a message on FB he didn't want it back because he reported it to his insurance got more money than he had paid for it used. He would not give us the password either didn't want us to access the data. We can't take to an apple store not sure what to do with it now.

First of all that’s not stolen. Second of all it’s to prevent other people from getting into the computer. You never specify on how you removed that lock. I have the same thing and I bought off eBay. Is that password lock but there should be a way to bypass it anybody knowfor the username? Please help me
