SCHRADE USA OLD TIMER 7OT CAVE BEAR is the Old Timer variant of the Uncle Henry LB7. They made these knives in two separate runs, the first run from late 1978 thru early 1982, and then in 1990 thru 2004. The early run had 4 pins in the handle and the later run had 3 pins in the handle. Both high carbon tool steel (1095) and Schrade + stainless steel were used. This one is stainless steel. Schrade + steel pivot pin, solid brass bolsters and liners, and Old Timer shield. Thank you for watching! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comment section below.

Very Badass blade, sir.
They don't make them like this anymore. This is back when they put quality before quantity.
I have a U.S.A. made 4pin. Love these knives. The weight of these in the hand is amazing. They built these like tanks.

Just got a 4 pin 7OT, '79 or 80', perfect needle sharp point, like new untouched blade, great price. ***Got to love this non-Chinese (high-quality) period of name brand folding hunters. Seems Schrade sought to outdo the Buck 110 and it seems this knife does that.

I got my Schrade 7-OT prior to 1978, closer to 1970, and there are 4 pins in the handle, with a tool steel blade. Even the sheath is still in good shape.

My dad had a few bucks, but the locks were broken on them, they were in his tool box, after he passed away in 2001. but I did get his old uncle henry, can not really read the #, but I know that I have only seen one on line, just like it, it was made in 1986, it has the name plate and a stag type handle and the knife to this day is in great condition and I do use it from time to time

I have 1 of each. 1 with the 3 pin and without the + and I also have with the 4 pin with the +. The 3 pin without the + was given to me by my wife's aunty. Her uncle owned it and when he passed away in 2016 he told my wife's aunty to pass it on to me. I will always treasure this knife. I was very honored to have received the knife.

Hey, maybe the Chuck engraved on your knife was Chuck Buck ( son of the founder of Buck Knives) . That would mean old Chuck owned a Schrade knife .😁

I have the Schrade+ 7 OT Old Timer knife with the original leather Sheath Set that I bought when I was 18 yrs old. It was my first knife. I had to have the blade fixed because I lent it out and the knife came back with the tip broken off. When i say fixed i mean reshaped. It also has the 3 pins. My wife's Aunty just gave me her late husbands Old Timer 7-OT knife with the 4 pins. The original sheath was stolen years ago but left the knife. I love both knives. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on these blades. Now I can date the one I bought many years ago and the one that was just given to me yesterday. Now I need to find a original sheath for the 4 pin knife.

bought a camper from 1968 7 years ago. I was going through some crevices just now and found this knife. 4 pin. Mint condition. Like it was stashed back here in the 70s and forgotten about. Thats why i found your video. What is it worth?

I do not have the original case for it, but I went and bought a leather case for it instead of putting it in my pocket all the time

That stamp indicates it's carbon steel. Note the pitting and patina. Schrade+ is stainless steel.
